Gentlemen,

I am putting together an alumni/geezer team to play in 3-4 tournaments per year. I think it would be a chance for us to play a bit more rugby (those of us who don’t have time/opportunity to play for a men’s club team), plus a great chance to see each other more than once a year at the alumni game. On top of that, Baylor will be playing at most of the tourneys we’ll enter into, so we’ll be able to support the guys as well.

First up is Cowtown on October 1st in Fort Worth.

This past weekend I decided to round up some big boys and enter a team in the Mudfish Tournament in Dallas. This tournament is played in 7s format and consists of an open weight division and a Mudfish division (200+ lbs). We had a good showing and were headed for the Semi-Finals when the tournament was rained out. We were poised to have a rematch with the Dallas Harlequins in the Finals, but it was not to be. It was a great time getting to see a bunch of old buddies.
